When on guard duty when in the Army he used to put his rifle up the inside of his over coat and go to sleep standing up and because he was a light sleeper he was never caught.


Also when in the Army he used to use his best mate's last four numbers of his service number (they were exactly the same) whenever the NCO chose Dad to do anything.One night he should have gone into the boxing ring but his best mate went instead.He was tucked up warn and snug when they brought his mate in on a stretcher out cold and he felt a little guilty but it did not stop him.His mate would always say why was it he was always chosen and Dad said he to could not understand it either!!!!!!!!!
